GOLAN COWBOY

When you hear someone say “Israel”, it seems the associations that arise are religious, military related or deserts and camels.

Now try to imagine the following situation.

It is six in the morning, the sun has yet to appear in the sky, A large iron gate opens and three men park their SUV’s near an old hut, the steel door opens and they enter.

Coffee starts to boil as they light a cigarette.

After a few minutes of talking, they begin to plan the day with their cattle herd of about 1400 cows.

More coffee and another cigarette as they set out to prepare the horses for the field.

This is not in Texas or Wyoming.

This takes place in northern Israel in a region near the Syrian border called the Golan Heights
